API Rate Limits
To maintain API availability and reliable performance, rate limits apply to the Fleet V4 APIs. These limits control the number of requests an integration can make within a specified period.
Effective date: October 15, [2026]
Rate limits currently apply to the following V4 API modules:
- Users
- Drivers
Additional modules will be included in future updates.
Rate Limits
The following limits apply to the covered API endpoints:
| Limit | Description |
|---|---|
| Requests per minute | A maximum of 5 requests per minute per endpoint, per CID. |
| Daily request limit | A maximum of 1,400 requests per day. |
These limits help manage API traffic and maintain consistent service performance for integrations.
What Happens When a Rate Limit Is Exceeded?
If an integration exceeds an applicable rate limit, the API returns an HTTP 429 Too Many Requests response.
When you receive this response:
- Stop sending requests to the affected endpoint temporarily.
- Review your integration's request frequency and usage.
- Reduce the request rate to remain within the applicable limits.
- Retry the request after an appropriate delay, using a backoff strategy to avoid repeated requests in quick succession.
- Repeatedly retrying requests without a delay may cause additional rate-limit responses.
